So, I decided to stick my toes in the water after many years and I posted a profile on PoF. Almost immediately I get a message from this guy. He tells me I am the blondest person with black hair he's ever seen. I think - This guy is making a snarky remark about my roots, right off the bat! What a jerk! I delete his email and steam about it for a while, then head off to bed. On the way to work I'm rehearsing witty come-backs when it dawns on me that maybe I clicked the wrong hair color box...yep. Hah! I wrote him an apology and explained what happened. First lesson - thick skin is needed, and a sense of humor

I find with OLD, I am quick to assume a confusing message is a jab. I think it is because we expect there to be wackos out there.

I actually think hair-guy gets bonus points. This shows he ACTUALLY looked at your picture and READ your profile. That is a leap beyond those ppl that just send out random "How are you?" to everyone.

Did he respond?

Agreed - he does get bonus points. I haven't checked back yet to see if he responded. He probably thinks I'm a weirdo now

haha! That is TOO funny!

And I love that he has a funny sense of humor and took the time to write you.

Hopefully, he'll laugh at your reply and email you back. This could be good!
