My DD's college town is having an all day street fair. She just called me and said, "Mom, listen!" And I heard it: She was sitting on a big lawn listening to a Dave Matthews cover band! I said, "I am so jealous of you right now!"
She said, "I know, but you saw the real thing so don't be jealous!" 
I'm glad she is having so many of these experiences at college. Good stuff .

AN.. I heard on the radio yesterday that they were giving away tickets to see the Dave Matthews band. I didn't even know they were touring. I wonder if they are coming near you?

They are actually going to be near us in August at a great venue about 40 mins from the house. I considered going with the kids (they both love DMB) but then LD surprised me and sprung for tickets to see John Mayer and Phillip Phillips (woooohoooo!!!) and I felt bad spending the money.
Turns out, DD will be traveling on that date so she couldn't have gone, and they're playing in the city so it makes more sense for DS to see him there, instead of spending the money to travel here (or me spending it, which would probably have been the case).
When I saw them years ago it was with DS. It was awesome. I'd love to one day see them with DD.
BTW, LD doesn't care for DMB, (
I know, right???!!!)which is why I'd love to go with the kids.

I'm impressed she's at a street fair in college and texting her mom! I don't think I talked to my mother even once my whole first semester of college

Not to make you even more jealous, but while your DD was watching the tribute band, I was enjoying the real thing.
They played just shy of three hours, lot of his older stuff.
