Whew, I haven't been that nervous in a long time. I stumbled, talked too much, talked too little, managed to make an awkward good bye outside the restaurant. All normal first date stuff I suppose. It was a nice evening. I am hoping to see her again. I don't know all of the dating "rules", about when to contact her again, etc. I hate all that stuff. I got signals that she liked me too.
Regardless of how this turns out, what a fantastic moment this was for me. I never imagined I would get to this point, with a clear head, and enjoy an evening with someone new. Thank you SI friends for being there.

Thanks for posting this traildad. I am nowhere near even being close to dating but I do like seeing posts like yours. It helps me stay positive and realize that once I am through with this D and have my head on straight life does go on and it can actually go on in a positive direction.
