from my attorney. He cried and said "that letter was a real kick in the gut." i said "you had to be expecting it." he said, "no, i thought maybe we could work it out." i asked, "did you think I was kidding when i said the next time would be the last straw?" He said, "no". what I should have said was " how did you think I liked being kicked in the gut three times, really four if you count going to the attorney. That was so hard. its gonna be hard to live alone on a lot less money but at least I'll have my dignity.

And that is really what it comes down to at the end of the day...can you look at yourself in the mirror and live with life that you are living? I could no longer look at myself and was getting more and more angry with myself for staying.

It was self preservation when I finally was able to leave.

If you love something and hurt it dearly, then chose not to fix it...you never deserved it in the first place.

^^THIS. His choices left me no other choice.

They really don't like it when you close the bakery. Ignore the crocodile tears - he is using them to manipulate you.

Where were his tears when he was blowing his family apart? Where where his tears when he was tearing your heart out?

((SusanR))

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

Why do they do that?

We try to get them to stop so we can save our marriage.

We give them yet another chance and another and another until we finally say enough.

And then we say enough, start making our own way and then we file.

And then they say HUH?

It's so hard at first, but it does get better all of the time... it really does. One day you'll realize the good days are more frequent than the bad.

Hold your head high Susan! You are a strong woman!

Everyday is a blank canvas, and only you hold the brush.

Ready yourself for some full-on Hoovering attempts. I'll bump the Hoovering thread in General, in case you haven't seen it.
