Ive been hitting the depression very hard for quite a few months. I cant take time off for regular appts. I cant go after work bc there is no sitter and a lot of IC's around here close shop at 5pm. So I figured I could go on my lunch break

I google and suprisingly find some near my work.

Not one would get back to me...even to say they dont have space.

Frustrating doesnt cover it

Time to be my own bff.

Sully,

I encourage you to keep at it. Awhile ago I decided it was time to get back into IC for a bit. Even for someone who navigates the system as a job (me), it can be frustrating. I went down my list of ICs in the area, left a ton of messages, spoke to some people who either weren't taking new patients or specialized in something or another that didn't pertain to my situation, etc.

Finally, about the 12th person I called, I hit the jackpot. She was really good and helped me a lot.

I'm sorry this is such a struggle for you. It shouldn't be. Don't you think if someone is reaching out for help they should be able to get it easily? Me, too!!!

Keep going, you'll get there.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

That one is a bit far out. I have to find someone wifhin 15 mins of work. When stuff like this happens it makes me feel 'marked' (explaining would mean a trip to general)

Have you considered looking for counselors who use skype as an alternative to in office visits? I know some people are against it as face to face contact is important but if you need help this can be an alternative.
