Well that was quick. Posted a coupe weeks ago about old GF I had reconnected with. Saw each other a few times and really hit it off. But it seems she is getting cold feet. Per her request she wants to concentrate on her own life and not get involved with anyone. Who can argue with that huh ? I played it cool and we will stay in contact and see what the future brings. But we all know its the kiss of death. I'm a bit disappointed but don't feel that bad either. My life overall is pretty good aside from the romance department. I keep being told that I'm a great catch and will find someone. Yet that don't seem to be in the cards. I've been getting flirted with by some other women. And there is nothing wrong with some of them. But it seems like the ones I choose to pursue are not working out. My BIL said I should just date as many women as I can. Wait things out and sooner or later I'll find someone. I heard somewhere that quantity has a quality all of its own. Maybe that's where I'm meant to be right now. Oh well, I guess its time to keep on keepin on.

Sorry it didn't work out, Stronger. Good for you for not getting derailed.

Sorry to hear this. But for sure you don't want someone who doesn't want a relationship or want one with you. We've all had our fair share of that lol.
But I will say that your brother has a point. "Dating" - when your objective is to find a partner - can be a numbers game. The more women you talk to, the greater the likelihood you'll meet one who you click with.
And I dare say, the more women you talk to without an agenda, b/c you're caught up in living your own life, the greater the chances that you'll find someone. The old "it's when you stop looking that they arrive" adage.

Sorry to hear this, but you have a great attitude and outlook on life.
Meeting the right someone can be hard. He has eluded me so far too. Hang in there, I'm sure the right woman is out there for you.

I'm sorry this did not work out. It sounds like you are handling it well. I try to look at each of these experiences as part of the learning process in terms of how relationships work now.

This:
I'm a bit disappointed but don't feel that bad either.
Is my experience the more time I put into dating. It gets easier, each rejection feels less like rejection and more like the process of selection...people eliminate themselves from my "pool" and it isn't so much of a problem for me...
When it is supposed to happen, it will happen. Slow down... Good things take time...
