Unfortunately, he died of natural causes. Too bad they didn't carry out the death penalty and have him suffer in knowing that he was going to die soon/or lying there knowing he was dying. No mercy for his victims, I have no mercy for him.

I lived in LA when he was on his rampage. It was terrifying. He struck at a house just a few doors down from my brother. I thought I was going to puke from terror. My sister & her husband had a house that fit the profile of the ones he targeted, she was frantic on if they should move into an apartment temporarily.

I wish he'd been killed, but am glad he's dead now.

We didn't move to Southern California until 1986, a year after he was caught. Even though I didn't live in California, I still had nightmares from this evil person.

There is some conflicting information coming out about his cause of death. The warden reported the cause to be "natural causes" but it is also being reported that he died of complications from hepatitis C.

and he got off far to easy ... They(medical) would have been obligated to control his pain, if he choose to have that happen. And what serial killer in his/her right mind would not choose this kind of death over the lethal injection ?

What a final slap in the face to the victims and their families ...

I, for one, am very happy for Mr. Ramirez since he is truly blessed today. His own profession of satanic worship and his desire to secure a place for himself near his "deity" has been delivered to him. He will have the honor of spending eternity in the company of his ilk and the "joy" of understanding the consequences of his actions and words.

I don't know if there is anything that can stop the nightmare he inflicted upon his victims but I hope the survivors will take some solace in knowing that he probably had a speedy journey to his just reward.

I was messing around at work when I found the article about his death on MSNBC. Someone was reading over my shoulder and he said "GOOD!" followed by "It is unfortunate he died of natural causes."

There is something about him that I always found especially disturbing. He was born and raised in my hometown of Texas. He targeted children. I remember reading that when he went to trial he had quite the female fanclub, because he was young and considered attractive.

Never mind he's a psycho freak!!!

Good riddance to one of the worst humans who existed.
