So douchebag texted me earlier today , blah blah blah, I have to come by tonight and pick up some house paperwork so I can get the deck permit, blah blah blah.

Whatever. I didn't respond. I was out of town and didnt come home until about 7pm. I thought he had already come and gone. So I go about my business of doing the last of the laundry before I move out. Just put the last load in the dryer, I come around the corner in the basement (that's where my washer and dryer are) and BOOM! There's douchebag standing at the top of the stairs. I almost screamed. He was all "sorry". Christ, can you not say something when you walk into the house?

Then he asks all sweet like "do we have any garbage bags"? Umm no asshole "we" don't, but I do, stashed away. Too many words to waste on him so I simply said "no".

Now he's left, maybe to go and buy garbage bags

I swear, that image of him standing at the top of the stairs is going to haunt my dreams tonight.

I had an image of you dropping the laundry basket while gasping "Douchebag!" in surprise.

He sure is super overly friendly with you. Was he this nice when he was cheating?

Dark Inertia: He never cheated remember?

I don't know what his gameplan is with all this fake niceness but I see right through his bullshit now.

I thought he'd be mad because I told him today that the lawyer wouldn't release any of the proceeds from the sale of the house until the divorce was final.

If his fake apology for creeping into the house and scaring the living shit out of me is his way of trying to get me to see what a sweet man he is and get me to change my mind, GOOD LUCK.

I really hope he doesn't come back tonight.
