DD21 just moved home from college for the summer, and DS19, who has been in an apartment for a year, is moving home next month. When they moved out we lived in the marital home, a 2 story, 5 bedroom 3.5 bath, house. I've downsized this past year to a 3/2 one story with an office. I'm still not completely organized and unpacked.

So I've been stressing about how to fit us all in here, and yesterday I contacted an organizer on craigslist. She's coming by this afternoon for a couple of hours to get me started and I am so excited.

I have a hard time deciding the best way to organize and get a little overwhelmed when I have a huge mess to go through sometimes. Once it's organized, I'm good to go, but I struggle getting there. The two areas I really need help with are the garage and my office.

Crossing my fingers this goes well! (The organizing, not the kids - love them but I know they will drive me nuts, lol).

Great idea L2HM! I just took some before pics.

She can only stay two hours today, but that will definitely help get me started.

nik, so far it sounds fairly reasonable, she charges $25 per hour, and I'm really hopeful it will be very much worth the $$$.

Lol SAZ! Will do - they haven't been gone long so except for the smaller space, it shouldn't be too different than it used to be.

Though DS just told me he just got a puppy, I went off on him, and of course, he was just kidding.

The organizer went well - 2.5 hours, worked in my garage for 1.5 hours, then my office for an hour - both look a lot better, though there's still tons for me to do going through stuff gradually. But now I know what I actually need to go through for what, I separated out XWH's stuff that I will drop off to my SIL, got rid of stuff, got stuff in the attic. And my office is to the point that I can use my desk!

With my ADD tendencies it would have taken my days to get that far...lol.
