Background:

Since the beginning of hte year, I've slowly been cleaning up my diet.

I've reduced (nearly eliminated) most grains (specifically wheat and rice), eat very little pasta, and have really increased veggies and protein.

Generally speaking, my daily intake is a lot lower in carbs than the average person.

In eating cleaner, I've started noticing more raw foods and juicing posts/recipes on various sites. Raw foods and juicing interest me to a degree in that while I'll never go completely raw, I like the clean aspect as well as the health benefits.

Do any of you follow a raw food and/or juicing lifestyle?

I'm interested in three things specifically:

1. Raw food and juicing recipe sites

2. What your typical meals in a day look like

3. What your typical grocery list looks like

Thanks for your help!

There are pros and cons to eating a raw food diet and there are many different types of raw food diets. I suggest going to raw foods wikipedia site to get a background on raw food diets. Then see a registered dietitian to put together the diet for you, to show you what to buy and how to eat it and recipies.

You should check out The China Study; whole grains are not the enemy.

You are important and you matter. Your feelings matter. Your voice matters. Your story matters. Your life matters. Always.

@Letitout: My intent isn't to go raw. I DO want to include some raw items in my diet. I didn't realize that there were different types of raw food diets, so that's info I can definitely look into more closely, thanks!

@Sazzy: I don't see whole grains (or any specific food group) as an enemy per se. I have noticed that I feel less bloated when I eat them (wheat and flour products in particular) in limited quantities.

Its been an interesting study in what my body likes and doesn't like. I'm just trying to continue to listen to it more.
