Bottled Frappuccino Expiration Date?

Random stupid question as I'm sure I know this but wanted to ask.

A week ago, I was at our local big chain store when to my delight I saw before me a new shipment of my favorite frappuccinos!

I bought 3 packs and brought them home and have some how only managed to have a few in the past 5 days. Today I was having one when I looked at the bottle and on the side it says 7/01/13. It doesn't say the exp. date but I assume it is. Why would they ship out brand new bottles and they were set to expire the day after I bought them?

I've never noticed the date on the bottles before. Oops.

More likely that whoever puts it out isn't rotating the stock.

I hope you're going to return it.

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Apparently they aren't. They had just come in a shipment within a 3 day period because they were not there before. It's such a letdown to know you can't have what you want!

I'll gather up my receipt and take it back in. Maybe they'll have a different stock in I can swap it out for.

Are you sure it was the expiration date and not the bottled date? Some drinks have both.

Whalers-I bought them on 6/29/13 and the date says 7/1/13. At first I thought that there was no way it was the expiration as I just bought them but sure enough I think it is. It has a CA after which I assume stands for CA?

They don't smell/taste/look bad but it does have dairy in it and I don't know if that's an issue. I've never seen something like this before unless they had been on the shelf for months. The fraps sell pretty fast and they had JUST stocked the shelves. I guess from their warehouse they didn't notice it. All 3 cases had 7/1/2013 on it. I SO wanted them too!

They are still good to drink.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

I would still drink it. When my family freaks out over an exp date, my response is "I haven't killed you yet!"

I see exp dates as guidelines only

You guys crack me up! I've drank a couple and they haven't made me sick or anything. I didn't notice a taste difference either. My mom is famous for keeping things beyond the exp. date and even she said a few weeks isn't going to hurt me. She also said if it were bad, I'd see or smell it.

Thank you for all the responses. I guess I'll keep them. If I get sick, I'll let you know to stay away from the expired frap's!
