The very first meal I ever made for my first husband, I needed breadcrumbs. I'm, um, cheap, and refuse to pay for them. I had some biscuits left from breakfast and decided to just crumble them up and toast them in the broiler. Biscuits have a rather high fat content. I pulled a baking tray with 2 ft high flames from my broiler. Great first impression.

my roomie and I were cooking Tacos one night --- who knew that a Taco shell could catch fire in a toaster oven?!?!
