I am afraid of heights. Really don't like being on a ladder. Looking over a hill will make my stomach churn.
Years ago STBXH, DS and I were at a vacation spot that had zip lining. The three of us went up. Only 2 zipped down and it sure wasn't me.
I am doing things this summer with DS(16). We have jet skiied, bike rides, kayak etc. Soooo I asked if he wanted to go zip lining. He said sure, but would I go? I said yes. With everything I have been through what is the worst that could happen?
We went zip lining today. I had fun, 35mph over 500 yards whooo hooo. One more thing that scared me that I conquered. My DS had fun, used our camera to take lots of video and pics. He says I looked like I was grinning. I am pretty sure I was just clenching my teeth.

Isn't it great?! I haven't zip lined yet, but I rode my motorcycle through the Rocky Mountains last week and I'm scared of heights! I could never have imagined riding my own motorcycle, let alone through the Rocky Mountains.
I figure nothing is guaranteed and I'm going to live life to the fullest while I'm here on earth. No need to fear anything when you've survived the worst.
I'd rather go out with a bang than a whimper.
