Actually my dog does do that. She stands on my chest with her front paws on my shoulder like she's a darn parrot. But she's tiny

When my corgi was a puppy, her legs were too short to get up on the couch on her own. I'd lay flat on my belly and say, "Elevator". She'd jump on my back and I would lift her up to the couch. She'd get down the same way, but in reverse.
