For my anniversary, my fWH wrote me a poem. He has always bought me those stupid cards that are meant to be funny and I always wanted what was in his heart.
I wanted to share it because it's such a departure from what he has ever done for me:
I love your smile, your laugh
The twinkle in your eye
Your quirkiness
I love your strength, your resolve
The ability to make so much happen
Your capacity
I love your caring, your compassion
Champion of the underdog
Your soul
I love your beauty, your body
The way you fill up a room
Your style
I love your instincts as a mother
At times tender, at times tough
Your nurture
I love you as a teacher
Always helping others to learn and grow
Your wisdom
I love you as a partner
In my corner, pushing me to be better
Your friendship
I love you as a wife and lover
Covering me with care, tenderness and kisses
Your love
