So it's my one year Dday anniversary and somewhat to my surprise I am all good. I barely thought about it. While I can recall all of the events and the unbelievable shock I was handed that night, I'm not really feeling bad about it. I guess it's just my past now and not a huge need to look back at is. Lessons learned, move on.

Time really is a great healer. So glad that you got through this day alright. I am seven years out now and although I would be lying if I said I never trigger about dates and things like that, they do not happen that often.

You are through all the firsts now - I found the antiversary of the day we got together which happened a few months before the DD antiversary was the hardest for me. By the time the DD antiversary came around I was in celebration mode.

I celebrated how different my life is now. How much more I'm getting out of every single moment of my life. What a better mother I am.

I savour all of it and I am celebrating all of it.

My triggers are different now - I trigger about things that I'm mad at myself about. I trigger about all the time I wasted being miserable. Far better than the yearning kind of triggers I was getting in that first year.

Welcome to the other side of Annus Horribilis, brother - with all of that awful stuff behind us. It is a glorious place to be!

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!

You're doing so well for only one year later !

I was still in the deep pit at a year out.

Next year will be even better.

It's my life now, my choices, my mistakes to make and my victories to celebrate. His choices made me free of liars and betrayers in my life. That is priceless.
