Yum! I love Primanti's & am lucky to have a suburban restaurant right down the road from me so whenever I get hungry for a pittsbuger .. no problem!!

I feel very fortunate to live within driving distance of Primanti's and Quaker Steak & Lube.

I'm hick not urban but I do love to visit Pittsburgh.

Did you finish all your sandwich?

Pittsburgh is a big hick magnet masquerading as urban. Don't put yourself down.

I lived there for eight years, moving away in 2000. It was, for me, an absolutely horrible time and just thinking about going back for any reason at all makes me shake. I do, however, miss the food. Rhoda's Deli (Murray Ave. in Squirrel Hill), Anderson's (in some mall area, can't remember where), food served on the street at the Strip District, Rialto's Pizza (Greenfield), Primanti's in Oakland, Pamela's when we were all so hungover we could barely crawl in the door, Spice Island Tea House's night market noodle (!), Church Brew Works salmon and feta pizza, and I really could go on for an hour.

The food was the only thing about the city that I loved to explore. Everything else scared me to death or disgusted me. This redneck girl just isn't cut out for the place.

Thanks for all the food suggeations. I'll start checking them out next trip.

RSU7- 376 is bad. I am am also used to driving in the Blue Route in Philly, NJ Turnpike and Parkway, the LIE and the Belt parkway, and the Baltore and DC loops. I am so numb to traffic that it doesn't bother me that much any more.
