cant I get a break. or is it me...nothings changed

I went back to my old possition. Mr Big said it was because dealing with what happened in my office was too much for someone without experience. In the critique I asked of him he said I have to delegate more. Well damd if im not learning to deligate

New guy says to me the other day he was going to come in sat and do my job (I.e. just stand at the window. No back office stuff. I would have to still do that) and I would have to go do this physical possition thats open

In beginning for time off since the first time he got there, ive been telling him im physically exaughsted. I ran myself hard for 8 plus weeks. Leave work at 930 pm and come in at 430am...no lunch except 4 times.

He doesnt get it.

I ended up back on the street again.

The two days he has been there I worked 10 hrs and no lunch. No break. I didnt get everything done. He messes up my system.

Now im supposed to find people to help in the areas we are short. He delegated that to me

He wasnt going to give me the week off I requested bc he didnt know who to call. I found someone for 6 of the days. He says I need to find someone for the 7th day

I need to set him up in this area....

I pretty much have the same responsibility, job and hours without the pay...oh, I get paid only 8 hrs still. I dont know what to do bc I do want to move up; have another chance at mgmt but in a smaller setting.

Yep I know now how to delegate.

If you are hourly, by law you must get a meal break if you work over a certain amount of hours, and you MUST be paid for every single hour you work, including overtime- no exceptions.

There is a fine line. Evidentally if my time card isnt initialled...

I spoke to two people in mgmt and both said not to go without my lunch or break But if Im the only one in the office there isnt much I can do.

Im just upset because this is a repeat of last christmas. I dont mind taking one for the team if its to help out but for someone who takes advantage I have an issue.

Hostile was three yrs ago when I got into an arguement with a boss bc I finally had a few hrs off to go to the er to attend to a bad infection (let go bc I had to work) and the boss was angry I refused to go help out another office.

This situation is just someone making sure his life is easy. I do think he was told I asked for protecol bc he said he didnt want me to help in the job that was physical.
