I know there is a lot of controversy about the Miley Cyrus/Robin Thicke act on VMA awards.
I saw this article and I thought it was great, reflecting on how to talk to your son about it.

I remember when this song first came out, I didn't care for the lyrics, it was not a very good song in my opinion. Then I heard that it had a video with nude women in it, I was like eww what a dick that Robin Thick, he has no respect for his wife. I don't care if his wife is ok with it or not it is still disrespectful for him to do that.
Then my husband starts talking about the video, and goes and watches it. I lost a bit of respect for him for wanting to watch a video of naked hoes. We had a no nasties agreement too. He said he didn't think it counted.
Does a video of naked women count as nasties or am I carazy!?
Men these days definitely leave something to be desired, with their porn and objectification of anything, man woman or child.

Wow, that's given me some hope in mankind again. I tend to agree with the frenzy over Miley and not much about the man on stage with her. My girls grew up with Hannah Montana and it made me sad to see her. Strange how these celebrity girls just have to prove, I'm a big girl now, in such a manner. I was far more disgusted with Robin Thicke. I would hate to be his wife.
