I told wbf that it feels like he is still lying to me about stuff and he stormed off in a huff...wtf?!?!

Mine was like that for a long time too. Sometimes would throw in the whole "I said sorry, I can't change it and there is nothing else I can do". For him he was getting mad because I couldn't just "get over it all". And of course that continued our fighting.

Caring4me, what was it that eventually made your WS change?
This confrontation ended in me being in tears and him eventually coming through to the same room as me -although not to see me, but to dry his hair- and when he finally noticed that I was crying asking 'why' I was crying!!!! Em I am crying because you are a jerk and are unwilling to *see* what tou have done and are still doing to me and this relationship!!!!!!
