Last month we had a pre trial court date which was postponded because his L "somehow got double booked"! I agreed to a new date as long as mediation was scheduled ASAP.
Well today was the day and I liked the mediator. One of my needs was to be in a separate room from STBX. As it turned out I was put in the M office and he wasn't aware I was in there until he opened his door and "almost stumbled" on me! He was very nice and even though he wanted me in the same room he didn't make a big deal about being in a separate room. I'm so glad I followed through with what I needed for me to make it an easier day for me. I think it helped that the mediator was a man. STBX always works with women.
We were able to make some progress although we will have to go back once more and M thinks we should be able to get it nailed down the next time. I left feeling really good about how well it actually went.
It's very possible I will D before the end of the year and hopefully sooner!

Glad to hear it went well for you. Hopefully you will get even more than you asked for. Will the mediation papers be attached to your D papers? If not ask that it be so, so that if your WH doesn't follow through, you can take him to court. DON'T TRUST HIM to look after your best interests. He's aready proven he won't.
I divorced him because I didn't like his girlfriend.

Pippy I'm not sure if they will be attached, but, with this heads up I will ask that they be.
I'm amazed how much better I feel after having what I feel is a good outcome to a bad situation.
