I have an ipad mini. All my contacts are on it, calendar, etc. I just got my first iphone. Ok, it's an iphone 4, was my daughters, updated her, and dumped my blackberry. I can't sync my ipad and iphone. I went to the apple store and they said as long as my icloud was set up the same, when I was home in the wifi, they would just sync. Well, they don't.

Help. I need my contacts on my phone! Pretty useless without them.

Make sure you have completed all the upgrades on both devices. My Macbook and iphone sync, but only if everything is fully upgraded. If not, take them both in and make them figure out the problem, mine here are more than happy to help out. Go online and make a "genius bar appointment"...

Is that what the genius bar is? Make an appt when you can't figure out how to do something? Cool. Didn't know what they were. If that's right, I'll book one in the morning.

You also need to make sure that you have the devices set up to sync to iCloud.

I would tell you how to do that exactly, except I need an iOS device in front of me to remember exactly where the settings are.

Obviously, they are under settings - in iCloud, I think. You need to make sure that whatever you want to sync (calendars & contacts) are turned on.
