A couple weeks after DDay, we had a big blowout at a restaurant with WH parents. I stormed out, he told them everything. I haven't spoke to them since, and made them leave our house that night. His mom has tried to reach out, and have asked WH to ask her to back off.

In laws relationship has been nothing but affairs as well, to this day.

I feel so angry towards them. I know this isn't their fault, but I never want to see them again even if we get through this. What's that about? Anyone else have that? Is it a reminder of what my life could be in 40 yrs? I am also pulling away from my teenaged stepson, which is totally unfair I just have a hard time. Is it maybe just not putting him and his family a priority any more?

I really want to tell his parents off.

I'm actually relieved that I won't have to deal with my in-laws anymore, since they're my soon-to-be ex-in-laws.

But I can totally see why you feel the way you do.

I, too, have a teenage stepson who will no longer be my responsibility. However, I intend to reach out to him and let him know that he can always consider me a friend and never feel embarrassed to approach me with any problem as if it would be disloyal to his dad, because I am the only mother he's had for the past 8 years.
