I am very new to all of this, so take it for what it is worth:
I have always done everything, also. I have always prided myself on being a "self sufficient male", so I was accustomed to doing everything "my way" when I was single. My wife has never had to lift a finger at home... I do the work around the house after work and on weekends- all of the cooking (it's my hobby),cleaning, yard work, etc.
I have started (since Sunday) only preparing meals for myself. I wash MY dishes. I no longer make the bed. The house used to be vacuumed every day- hasn't been done.
This accomplishes two things in my mind. It frees my time up for me to go do things alone to prepare for single life... and it is giving her a dose of reality of what life without me will be like.
The look on her face when I sit down to eat alone is priceless. Although
she has not said it the obvious
expression is "Where's mine?"
If 180 weren't so incredibly serious, it could be fun. (Except for living in a dirty house.)
Good luck. Mine has bee so spoiled for 12 years that she seems to be seeing the light. Time will tell.
