For 15 years, my H has been telling me that I'm an extrovert and I know I am, but I haven't truly accepted it. Now I do. I don't like TV - there, I've said that out loud. I like to be with people.

I need to suck people energy. I need people around me to feel alive.

My H just left for a week-long business trip. My group at work is going to an off-site meeting this coming week - I cannot attend because my H is on his trip.

I'm feeling lonely.

Just intensely lonely.

I have a lot of work to do... I have a lot of non-work stuff to do. I have to pay attention to the kids.

But I need... people. Like a vampire, even one day without people energy drains me.

I look forward to Mondays - there are people at work.

I need people.

I know I am an extrovert to some extent because I enjoy people and talk too much . However I really crave alone time because I don't get much of it ever. Then I realized I think about when the kids are grown and gone and Dh is busy and picturing this big empty house and I panic. Like stomach churning, tight chest, can't even imagine it panic. It's a problem, and I tear up even writing this. I'm a bit of a wreck about lots of stuff lately and I don't even know why. See? I just dumped my needy crap all over your thread .

Sigh. Hang out here with me. We can suck the energy out of each other.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

"Needy crap" = energy. That was good! Now I have a bit more energy.

Geez, US; you're post just sucked the energy out of this extreme introvert

I'm loving my new job because I work nights and only have to deal with my staff of 14 nightcrawlers who are usually too busy to carry on a conversation

What meta said .

(Meta, keep getting more dogs and cats. That's what I did. You can talk to them all day and they don't mind. And they don't leave you like those rotten kids! )

DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

I'm the opposite, lol.

I very much like being in my own space. While I enjoy people, I am much better in small groups and I usually have to "gear up" for it mentally. Large gatherings suck the energy OUT of me. After big family gatherings, I tend to hibernate for a few weeks before I come out of my hole again.

I'm surrounded by introverts. My H is very introverted and so is my younger son. I don't understand them and they don't understand me.

Need. More. Humans.

Gaby - you beat me to it. Major introvert here. DS is a bit more moderate than I am, but DD is a big time vampire. She can drain both of us in under 5 minutes.

You can call me NIK

Hi fellow Introvert!

Your DS and DD sound exactly like mine.

My DS is also moderate and my DD is an introvert as well. My current hubby is an extrovert, though he's learned to give me my space.

XWH was extremely introverted. I looked like an extrovert if you stood us up together.

I feel so much better today! Work was total chaos - crazy issues, fixes, people all over each others' cubicles, phone calls. I was finally able to recharge from all that energy jumping around.
