Thanksgiving prank

I think this would be particularly good to pull on someone who is doing their very first Thanksgiving dinner.

Buy a Cornish Hen, unwrap it and when no one is looking, put it in the turkey cavity. Instruct the novice cook to rinse and pat the cavity dry and then accuse them of purchasing a pregnant turkey.

I cannot wait to pull this on one of my daughters some day.

Well, yes, Lyonesse. This is why it wood not work on the vet student daughter. The other daughter . . . Oh, yes.

I can just envision this stunt pulled on someone doing their first turkey ever.

Very evil. And be sure to emphasize how adorable baby turkeys are...

Of course it may backfire and she just may turn vegetarian after this stunt!

Trust me, anyone who has ever TRIED a Tofurky will never go vegetarian! No matter how cute the baby turkeys are!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

I saw a video on one of the funny home video shows... Not AFV but something similar. The young woman who cooked the "pregnant turkey" was almost hysterical.

If you search on YouTube, there are about a hundred of them. It is damn funny.

Instead of turkey this year I made cornish hens for each of us. The kids had never seen them and were excited by their "individual chickens" -- and then were laughing when they discovered that each of them had something different hidden inside the cavity. Son had half a pickle, friend had a hard-boiled egg, and daughters had a pile of cranberries and a meatball respectively.

plt, I love the cornish hen idea stuffed with a hard boiled egg! I am going to pull this one on DGD, 13 and DGS, 10. We were just laughing about stuffing the turkey with a cornish hen yesterday, as we ate our turkey dinner. They both said that they wouldn't fall for that one, but I think they just might fall for the egg in the cornish hen.
