I know the photo makes them look like they are really nice pants. But they are sweatpants. This is the dude version of the pajama jean, and is an abomination.
As an aside, seeing the photo of these pants made me think of a thread here a few years ago where me and some other NB ladies tried to explain to the guys that jeans and white athletic sneakers were not date attire. LOL

I very seldom ever made a comment on what EX wore. But one day he had dress sweats on and thought I would appear in public with him in a fancy setting. I had to draw the line and say HELL NO. Considering the wrath I knew I would draw down on myself, I still did it anyway.

Too funny. One of my friends made it a point to never date somebody who went out in the evening wearing running shoes. That was definitely her minimum standard of attire. My SO lives in jeans, ball cap and running shoes but even I would draw the line at sweat pants.

With the right shoes and shirt, they look good. I guess it depends on your body type and age. Skinny young things could pull it off, older mature gentlemen probably shouldn't try.

To wear grocery shopping, sure. To wear on date? Only at a tractor pull.

I admit I have lived the last decade in a city where people tend to dress nicer. Even to run errands.
I live in a suburb now and people wear sweatpants/yoga pants everywhere. Until this year I would never have dreamed of wearing workout clothes to the grocery store. It's so weird! I am less than 5 miles from my old neighborhood and it's like another planet.

I don't mind sweat pants on occasion. But I did date a guy (briefly) who I only ever saw in sweats - both "dress" sweats and regular. I don't even know if he owned anything else. :/

As long as the guy's in shape, I wouldn't have a problem with these pants.
However, if he shows up wearing socks and sandals, we have a problem!

These really don't bother me, but I'm in Austin, and we're pretty laid back with regard to fashion...lol. I like to dress up on occasion, but I never feel that I MUST dress up. I wear my black yoga pants as leggings with boots all the time, and no one notices...lol.

Workout clothes are one thing. What I can't handle is people wearing pajamas in public.
I live in a college town, but still! Fleece pants covered in cartoon characters = pjs. NOT street clothes.
