Well, we decided to give R a real try. I'll have been gone from home for a little over 4 months, and our son is 3 weeks old today. H bought a plane ticket last night and will be arriving New Year's Eve to drive back home with baby and me. Needless to say I'm scared. I want to be a family and I want to be happy, but I'm not sure if I know how. H has made a lot of progress but there's still a lot of work to be done.
For those of you who left and came back, where do you begin? I know I'm going to be distracted simply because I'll be caring for the baby but I really need this to work because I don't want all this to have been in vain. I'm desperate for any advice you may have at this point; thanks in advance.

Begin with being on the same page as far as how you're going to go into reconciliation together. What are your common goals? Individual goals? Will you be setting time aside (cause with a wee one, time can be hard to find) to talk? Do you have MC or IC set up?
Being back together will be scary, especially with a new baby. I'd make sure and set the tone, be clear on your expectations and don't allow yourselves to get stuck in unhealthy behaviors.
best of luck mellie99
