I have a question for email gurus.
Here's the background:
I sent an email to the leader of my special-needs DS education team and copied WXH. The email was basically a few questions regarding graduation requirements, etc- nothing earth shattering.
Unfortunately, I noticed when she replied, that the name of WXH in my original email portion was listed as "Asshat Lastname", which is how he is listed in my contacts list.
My question is this: Did his name show up that way to the team leader as well, or does it only show that way for me because of how he is listed in my email contacts?

What email program(s)? Gmail on both ends, I think she saw it.

I gotta tell you, I think that's funny as hell.
If it's ever questioned, you could tell her it's a "family name".
Now, does HE know he's listed as Asshat in your contacts?
Me, 56
Him, 48 (JMSSC)
Married 26 years. Reconciled.

It depends how her email server processes what yahoo sent her from your end. I know in gmail, I see the addressees listed like this in the header:
"Gaby Baby <gabybaby@si.com>"
(quotes and all) so it does show the aliases assigned by the sender.
It's possible it didn't display that way, but if it's in the header text of her reply, extremely unlikely.
Sorry.
To be honest, I too find this pretty funny. I snorked when I read it.

Thanks for trying, Ama. I'm not overly concerned about it, but I do wonder...
I'll admit I did laugh when I saw it, though I felt a little bad for the team leader since she doesn't need to be in the middle of our angst.
However, she's worked with our family for the last four years, so she's well aware of the dynamic and has been a firsthand witness to some of WXH's personality. She's well aware of my lack of any use for WXH other than keeping him informed about the kiddos.
I don't know if WXH was aware that he's listed that way in my contacts, but he may know now!
