Sorry I know I have that video thread we are supposed to use. This freaking video kills me though. I had to share it with more of the masses than the very few who post on the vid thread ......
Really .... Did you see the how old the couple looks on the ad ??? The fake people - look like the Clampid's ......
It comes on my tv almost EVERY commercial break !!!!! I freaking out tonight I didn't have anything DVR'ed so I have to watch the commercials.
Seriously. Are there really people who would join this place ??? On a profile for a normal site there is a place for your career - this is where you would farming - or maybe under hobbies - so on and so forth. Really need their own site ???
OMG --- It's on again .....

Yeah, that's EXACTLY the way we countrified folks talk. No patronizing stereotypes portrayed there. Clearly the ad agency hired to produce that work of art had its manicured finger on the pulse of the entire ag industry.

BB, I do agree that the ad is rather hokey and 'old school'...but, do farmers
Really need their own site ???
Well, since I'm married and not on any dating site and never have been, I really don't know, but, I would imagine it might be a way for those people involved in ag might find other similar minded people.
Farming is not just a job, but a lifestyle for many people, and having a dating site dedicated to farmers only might certainly weed out those people that may be offended by odors associated with livestock, or perhaps people that would never be interested in living many miles from the nearest grocery store, etc...
I come from a long line of farmers, and although I don't live on my farm right now, and I go there often and run a small farming operation there part-time. And, it is a completely different way of life than the life I live in the city.

I am not bagging on farmer's. Just the commercial. I am from a small town, I know I get it. It is a completely different way/pace of life.
Kills me with the commercial, worst advertising for farmer's ever.

as someone that grew up on a dairy farm....
1. it really is that hard to find someone because it's really hard work and not for everyone. Most of the poeple that we could date were either 4H friends, FFA friends, or neighbor kids....so...sometimes sliiiim pickins.
Not only that but (at least for Dairy people) dating is hard. We wake up before dawn, milk, clean the barn, handle whatever hay/corn/bean/garden, feed and milk again, and finish up anything else. So, by maybe 7 or 8 we would be free (later in the summer when the hay needs to be cut/raked/baled/stacked....and since we get up so early, getting to bed at a decent time LOL.
2. This friggen commercial is HORRIBLE!! Terrible, horrible. Sheesh, we are normal people with a different lifestyle.
