Hello my SI friends, I'm registering for college and one of the questions on the college essay is:
"How will you fit in from a networking standpoint"
For the life of me I'm not sure how to answer this question. If it makes it easier to answer I will be doing online classes.

Talk about your ability to relate to people on multiple levels - that you are an effective communicator in multiple media (in person, phone, social media, message boards, etc). In fact, state that you are an active member of several online groups - you don't have to name them specifically. I suspect that they want to know that you will engage regularly online and be comfortable in that environment.
