The gift of the polar vortex keeps giving and we have another day off of school. Probably will get one tomorrow as it's supposed to be colder. Drifting snow has most of the county roads shut down.

Caught up with my course work...yay!

Caught up with the housework...yay!

Doing fun little things with Teslet...yay!

Cleaned out a closet...yay!

And discovered a big box of knitting stuff that I had put away after D-day. Tons of yarn and projects that I had been working on...but after D-day, the last thing I could do was sit still and knit.

Last night, we watched a movie and I finished one of those projects (stocking cap)! Today I think I'll tackle the gloves I started.

Feels good to reclaim a hobby I really enjoy. (also, nice to have the downtime to enjoy it)

I'm hibernating, but I'm not being productive at all.

I may do some baking this afternoon but that will require a visit to the grocery store. I have to start my car anyway so might as well drive it to the store.

Enjoy the break everyone!

I think there was just a collective groan from my neighborhood of 1600 homes. We have been out of school for over a week now, and were just forecasted up to 6 inches tomorrow night, with the polar vortex sitting on top of us.

One of the Mom's on FaceBook just asked,

"Are we being punked??"

Puzzles, we are doing lots of puzzles and video games as MY school is still going full force. Oh, and I made two kinds of soup and froze it last week too!

Raising my hand here as well!

Sounds like you have been productive tesla.:0)

I met my daughter, picked up the granddog and went and bought him a winter coat.

She's coming over later to have a girls sleepover. Bought some wine, going to watch The Bachelor ( our guilty pleasure).

I'm positive no school tomorrow, they already have 30 closings for tomorrow.

Yeah for hibernating and reclaimed hobbies. I am hibernating by choice today due to a 5 day migraine that won't let go. Not a terrible, terrible one but it has hung on too long for my tastes. Going to try and get some rest and kick it out of my head space.

We're having a delayed work day due to ice (Central Texas shuts down with ANY ice) and I was already up when I found out so it has been a really productive morning!

Just got home from a trip to St Louis last night, so this morning I've unpacked my suitcase, done three loads of laundry, did 35 minutes on the elliptical (aka the coatrack...lol), cleaned the kitchen, and about to get ready to go sit in traffic...lol. But SO glad I had the chance to get some things done! Especially since I head out of town again for a conference tomorrow.

I've always wanted to try out knitting Tesla. That's a great idea!
