So there is this guy who works on the other side of the building from me. He would always be kind and say hello when he would see me. I always thought he was a nice guy but I never looked at his as the dating kind for me. So anyway 3 weeks ago I went to a local dance that they have every year (last year I happened to slow dance the last song with him as a friend) and he asked me if he again could have the last dance...again I never thought anything of it and I could not tell that he was interested...Here he has been interested for a long time and was waiting for the right time to ask me out (he is also very shy) So he did and I accepted and it is going on 3 weeks that we have been seeing eachother. He is 42 and never married or children...So this worried me a little so I have been asking around and I can't find any dirt on this guy...everyone thinks he is great and they think that we are great togther....His best friend came over to talk to me today and he said that he is just a picky guy (and I thought why me?????) but the honest truth is that he is pretty great...Great Job, nice house, awesome parents...treats me amazing...and there is no baggage. I mean of course I still have my guard up and I am taking it super slow (no sex as of yet and he is respecting waiting). So lets just say that I have a good feeling about this one unless he is a secret serial killer..lol. Just wanted to share.

veelop5,
We do exist. I was like that before I met WW.
I don't know if I would have stayed like that until 42 if I hadn't met her and married and had kids, but...

((Veelop))
you are awesome. so glad to see you out there dating again.
relax. watch for red flags but sometimes life just gets in the way. I have a good friend who was busy with a career and life and didn't meet Mrs Right until 45. They are happy 10 years later. His focus wasn't on relationships. He dated sometimes even for a good while (1-2 years) but just hadn't met someone he wanted to marry.
But that's just a lot of water
Underneath a bridge I burned
And there's no use in backtracking
