I went into the post office yesterday to mail my mom the last payment that I owe her for the $950 bill that she helped me with for my daughter's bill (the one she threatened to take me to court over after agreeing that she could wait until my tax return to get.....hope she chokes on it... (sorry).)

Anyhooooo.... I went in there with Piper who looked adorable as always and much better dressed than her mommy who was in jeans.... one of my collage sweatshirts....no makeup (whatsoever) and bad hair.....

The lady at the counter proceeded to tell me that I looked like....."wait for it".... SANDRA BULLOCK!!! My first thought was..... Did one of those sleezy magazines do a "Celebrities without makeup how scary" article....or "Celebrities who have gone to hell" article?" I even had the urge to look behind me thinking some hot brunette was looming nearby....

But, nope...she meant me. I told her that she just made my year...hell DECADE!!!! Funny thing is....she is the 2nd person (2 girls now and one guy) who have said that.....one guy told me I look like Lindsey Lohan (didn't know how to take that one....musta been the red hair and freckles.....YUCK) and one guy in a bar (of course) said I looked like Brooke Shields.... but I write him off as being drunk and wanting to get laid. Come on!!!! She is like 6 feet tall....skinny as crap...and BLONDE.....zero resemblance....

But....The Sandra Bullock complement....I could get used to..... Why yes please... thank you! Especially on a day when I was even afraid to leave the house looking like I did!

I've seen photos of you Shelly and you are totally gorgeous. I'm not surprised that you are mistaken for a celebrity or complimented this way.

Yup.....I can see the Sandra resemblance.

Thank you ya'll....I still don't see it and considering I had NO makeup on and my hair looked kinda like a cavegirl's after just waking up..... I was stoked! I will take any compliments anyone wants to give me....especially when I'm slumming it....

I remember seeing your Xmas pic (with Piper on your lap or something) and I thought you looked like Sandra Bullock then.

You both have the same shaped eyes & eye brows. And both have similar noses (but your nose is better!)

Awww.....thank you PhoenixRisen!!!! Yeah...I like to call my nose a "pug nose" but I like it. My daughter inherited my nose... But, she has super long eyelashes....and sperm donor's signature elf ears....but they are adorable on her. I'm glad she got my nose though....and those big brown doe eyes!!!

Definitely Sandra. It's not just the eyes though. It is that kiss ass smile of yours. The one that shouts: "Yeah I got it!"

Awww....ya'll are awesome. I must admit. I needed that compliment. Its been a rough couple of weeks and I've been single now almost 2 years (not that I'm even trying to date) but still! At least I can be a cute crazy cat lady right?

I guess I need to get a cat first..... that might explain why there has been a tabby in my neighborhood DYING to get into my house! It tries almost every day! Its like it knows.....maybe it has ESP!?

Scrolling through Facebook, oh there's Shelly, no, Rebecca Hirsch from General Hospital.

She's really pretty! I don't know if you all have seen the movie "Shooter" with Mark Wahlberg...but I had a friend tell me I look like his wife...and I think she is the closest to me. But, she is not a super popular actress. But, I thought it was a VERY nice compliment!

Her name is Kate Mara.

I can definitely see that last one. She reminds me of the brunette on Dawson's Creek in that first picture. What was her name?

Kate Mari....I think she is very pretty. I'm very humbled that people think I look like any of these women! But, everyone tells me I have a twin running around because they "think" they see me out places that I wasn't at....its always kinda humorous to me.....and spooky at the same time!

Shelly, if you've got a cat that wants to adopt you....buy the cat food, some toys, a litter box and enjoy the love it's going to give you.

Trust me on this.

I've been adopted by many cats and they love you for it.
