I received a very lengthy text from STBXWH this evening at 5:30. I did good with the crickets for about 3 hours. Couldn't hold it in any longer and had to respond. I kept saying over and over and over .....crickets - but in the end they got loose and I texted back. I didn't rant and held my composure because it's in writing. He is waiting for first draft of the divorce agreement and it seems to be getting under his skin a little. My favorite part of his text-

Alimony- NO

Just to warn him- I did say alimony was being requested. Really no surprise there- it was in the divorce complaint. And EVERY lawyer I consulted with said because of long term marriage - alimony would be requested! He doesn't have a lawyer but has consulted with some. I wonder what they have told him?

Ok, gathering up my crickets again.

I get it.

Herding crickets has proven to be as difficult as herding my cats!

Get a lawyer for your divorce. You will need one! It will also help with the crickets.

Peace to you.

LHS- never fear - I got a lawyer! Hopefully a good one. STBXWH didn't have one but the texts are flowing pretty late here and one text did mention he had a lawyer now. He must be a little anxious. And unfortunately we are in a bit of a text war tonight. I'm good though. I frequently have sleepless nights so it's giving me something to do. I'm glad he is having a sleepless night as well. Worried? Feeling guilty? Frustrated? At least I know he is alone---- he's just across the hall.

When I was so tempted that sitting on my damned hands didn't work I imagined that fucker gorging on ego kibbles every time I responded.

It won't feel fun in the morning. Please stop yourself. Post responses here - make them furious and/or hilarious. We'll appreciate it - he never will.

Starve that fucker. Starve him good.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!
