before Christmas I read an article in a magazine about a blogger who decided to take a course, offered online and it was writing your life story but in a therapeutic way, like - writing to discover new things you hadn't healed yet.

You had to have a journal and write page after page following prompts.

I'd like to do this but I can't find the place online where this is offered. I think it was only $40 to register for it. I know this is a shot in the dark but has anyone heard of it? I googled away and have not found anything.

I can't find anything, but often online learning places (MOOCs) run journaling classes. Udemy.com is one such place. (And if you get the chance, take a travel journaling class with Dave Fox there. He's a writing pal of mine and I've sat through his classes before -- TONS of fun and you can learn things in there which transfer over to regular journaling, too.)

You might also read this book, which I found very helpful while practicing a new method of journaling:

A list of guided journals can be found here:

I can probably whip up a list of similar classes, when I get a bit more time. Send me a PM on what specifically you're interested in, and when I get back from the g2g I'll write out a longer reply than I'm doing now.

I found Brave Girls Club helpful in the past, but it is $100 to register. It is a good place if you like to journal and make art projects.
