Does anyone know of an extended C25K app that trains a several extra weeks?
I've tried the 8 (or is it 9?) week app multiple times and always end up giving up after the first few workouts.
I used to run in high school (alongside the dinosaurs and cavemen) and would really like to get back to it (in addition to losing a few pounds), but it has been decades.
I want to stretch it out a bit for several reasons.
First, I have tendonitis issues with my ankle. I spent a year in a boot and would like to avoid being reunited with it.
Second, I am very out of shape, though that's slowly improving.
Third, I think easing into it more gently will leave me less likely to give up completely.
Thanks for your help!

I just repeated the weeks until I was comfortable with them.

They have a 10k extension to the original app. I did it through week 7, but I get so freakin bored with running. I bought a bike and I like it so much I ride every chance I get. I get sore adding more miles or increasing my pace, but it's not a running sore. It's not as painful as you get when you push yourself running, and not anywhere close to being as hard on your legs. I can easily keep my heart rate up over 160 for an hour or more on a bike. I can't do that running and have any sort of fun.

When I was doing it, I just repeated weeks like Ama. I would do a week until I felt like it wasn't killing me and then move on. It took me more like 12-13 weeks to finish than 8.

Thanks all for your replies.
NotDefeatedYet- you bring up an interesting point and one that is a major concern regarding the pain/punishment that running can inflict on the body. I used to love cycling.
I may have to consider that as an alternative to running if I can't make this work for me.
Thanks!
