WS has been out of town almost 2 wks now. He was here about 3 days after I found out he'd had EA with women from trashy website, then I asked for space so he went out of town for a while. Doesn't even call because he is too busy living it up. Since he has been gone I have found out SO much more. He is a massive liar and it doesn't appear he ever intennded to be faithful, despite professing how much he loved me daily and doing ALL the little things claiming he was trying to be the best husband. I still want to get dicorced but I am SO hurt at how he is behaving. Adding all his old girlfriends back to facebook, basically not giving 2 craps about me or my kids' feelings. I have been feeling so much better the past 2 days having distance. I feel like Things are getting back to normal with my kids and I. I even started thinking about how I'd really dodged a bullet, this could have gone on and on without me knowing. But now he's coming back from his "vacation" and I'm terrified of all the feelings and anger coming right back. I don't want to get sucked back into his nasty web. How do I avoid getting repeatedly hurt and crushed having to live with this A HOLE for the next few months while the house sells? I absolutely despise him. HELP!

Hi, justlikethat. I realize ws coming back is stressing you. Glad you had at least some type of break from his presence. Did you talk with a lawyer and start plans for divorce? Do you have family or friends you might stay with to keep some distance?

Hopefully others will give you more ideas to protect yourself.

I too met xwf online and after living together and Dday 8 years later (3 yrs. ago) found he wasn't what I thought and had "probably" lied about his xw and his relationship before me. Although he had been divorced 2 yrs. before we met.

Good luck!

Hugs.

Do you really have to live in the same house? Can you file and ask for sole use of the house as well as physical custody of the children? If he can manage to live elsewhere for two weeks to vacation, then why not until the house sells?

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
