My IC suggested this and it starts every day with "Morning Papers" where you write anything for 3 pages first thing when you wake up. I guess this has been quite transformational for some people.
Anyone done this or heard about it?

Yes, I had an IC who suggested it. It didn't work for me--I'm a talker and need feedback to my thoughts. I find I only write down bad stuff and it doesn't help to go back to read that. It is like journaling which so many get help from. Has she asked you to draw anything, yet. That came next for me, and I can barely draw stick figures, so again, it wasn't good for me. And, again, it works for so many. I really liked my IC so I did try, but....

but I do like to write... not sure i'd write all bad stuff but I think I'll try it.

rachel, I'm not surprised. I remember when I did some journaling and years later found the journal. It spiraled me down. Maybe enough journaling gets rid of the triggers, though. Hope some journalers chime in!
Also, just a bit of wisdom given to me once: Be sure anything you write down is destroyed before you die unless you don't mind it being read!!!

Well, i've filled quite a few pages. And I do feel an overwhelming urge to purge my closets. Trip to goodwill planned for today.
not much new on the limbo front though.

"The Artist's Way" by Julia Cameron
It has pride of place in my study. It is a course in recovering your creativity/self/power. It take a little discipline at first but I can absolutely recommend it.
Your post has made be drag it out again and revisit the principles, so thank you!

There is a fantastic book I picked up a while back. There are various versions of it, but it's usually titled "365 days of sketching/thought/lists etc". Essentially each page has a instructions for you to follow and complete the task in the page. ie. draw how you felt when you woke up to your first exotic vacation. It's good to let your creativity juices a-flow.
