How do you feel about this movie coming out this weekend? Under normal circumstances I would be so excited to go see what looks to be a funny movie. I'm not sure!
Any thoughts?

Oh geesh. I posted about this in General when I see the previews a few weeks ago. How do I feel? I feel that its all a big fun joke for Hollywood or anyone who has not experienced the pain of infidelity. It looks like the gals all hook up to get revenge on the WS. It even looks like Diazs' character didn't know he was married. She finds out by going to the door and is greeted by a harried-looking woman (the in real-life hot Leslie Mann) who she assumes in the house keeper. It's the wife.
Poor wife. Always the mess with the unkempt hair, no make up and clothing that says: I put me last everyday!
So not going!

It's too bad because I really like Diaz and Mann. And I was thinking of recreating the SI (Sports Illustrated that is ppl) Upton pic for hubby for his birthday. That might be out now...

I cant't remember whose signature on here includes the quote, but its something along the lines of how in real life are so different than on tv... how they're so much messier and devastating than hollywood makes them out to be. the trailers for this movie make it seem like a hilarious, light hearted bonding experience for women... when in reality its absolutely not. it honestly feels like an insult to anyone thats experienced infidelity. I'm having a bad day so maybe I took it a little too personally, but even watching the trailer just hurts :(

It troubles me that the movie makes light of such a tragic situation.
I will pass on this movie and wait until some Hollywood producer decides to make a realistic movie about infidelity...one that accurately reflects the true damage of the deed.

in R 10 years and it's working but he is putting 200% into it (as he should) to make it right again.
The truth hurts, but I have never seen it cause the pain that lies do.

Had you asked me if I would see this movie pre A, I would have said definitely. I am always up for a good comedy. Now post A, not in a million years. There is absolutely nothing funny about what I have been and am still going through even though we are in R and doing well! I hate all these tv shows and movies that throw out infidelity like it is just another fact of life.

She said she has multiple friends because of their different personalities so why not have multiple men? Yes because she is so complex she needs more than one man.

I was thinking it must say something about Judd Apatow"s fidelity in order for Leslie to do this movie.

Prior to the A, I probably would've seen it. Looks like it could be funny. But now there's no way. Pretty sure I won't be finding the humor in cheating ever again. I'll never look at things like this the same way. I even change the station if a song about cheating comes in the radio.

I know I feel like many of you. Before the A I would have called all my girlfriends and made a night of it. NOW..... not so sure? My thoughts after having gone through the personal trauma of an A is that the OW in this movie is made out to be the hero in all of this. That is so not reality!
An A is not a joke to those of us who have experienced this heart break first hand. I guess in Hollywood everything is acceptable as long as they are making $$$$$.
