I've been agonizing over a possible separation, or just time away from my fWH. I've decided to take a sublet for a month, in a few weeks. I'm still not sure how it will work, because my husband's ill mother will need more care I think, but I will leave that to fWH to work out. Already I was away this weekend and when I came back it was a sight to see with dishes everywhere and a general mess.
I felt very lonely indeed this weekend at the hotel - a sort of trial period - I didn't want to fall out of love with my fWH, but his bad treatment of me on top of the EA have left me just feeling numb. Anybody else feel on a roller coaster of emotions with the decision around separation?

Every one of us has ridden the emotional roller coaster. The ups and downs are really dramatic at first but over time, they level out. Your month away is an opportunity to experience life without him and with you! That was the strangest part the first month ex-shat was gone...I had to look around and figure out what I was without him. Those answers didn't come in a month, though. They took awhile and a lot of dips and turns on the roller coaster. Use your time as a period of learning about what you want for yourself and your relationship.
