I meet someone on-line. Calls and texts for a week and a half. We were both crazy busy and then I went on vacation so we could not meet in person. Then Tuesday he asks me at 8:30 if I want to meet for a glass of wine. This is too impromptu for me and I was already in my pj's. We continue to have a great conversation. Next day only texts. Thursday 2 texts. Today silence. I have not called or texted today.
Too soon to call it a poof? I know he was working on some important business jobs but???
I am not that invested but it is difficult to understand.

You haven't met yet, give it a couple of days. However, if he's only asking you last minute to do things I suspect that he's more looking for a hookup.

the world of online dating appears to have it's own set of rules...I hate to say it, but I agree with Hurtbs, and also he's probably "hooked" up with someone else
Move on.

I am in the give it a couple of days camp. He is not that invested either and maybe he got crazy busy or just too tired.

I am more puzzled than anything else.

If it looks like a poof and acts like a poof, it is a poof. When this happened to me, I sometimes would wait a week or so and then send a "Hey. Thinking of you. How are things?" kind of text. I've gotten responses (and dates)from that. It depends on if you were interested enough in the guy to want to pursue a little, or not so much...
I agree that it is difficult to understand, so don't try to understand it. There are 100's of reasons why someone might behave this way, and you may never know his reason...thus there is nothing to analyze or "get" from this kind of thing. It just "is".

Thanks for the responses. Not a huge deal but just didn't understand. Better4me you are spot-on! Thank you for the succinct explanation. I can shrug and go about my weekend.
As far as sending a text in a week or so, I will see how I feel. I felt there was a connection but I am in a good place and don't need drama, angst or games.
