Good morning...just wanted to check on something. For the last couple of days, when I click into SI, a small header pops up with an arrow pointing at a Download box and although I never hit it, almost every time I click into a forum or a post, a new screen pops up in addition to SI. I immediately close out that new screen.

This is not happening anywhere else I am going on the Internet and I'm wondering if SI is having any spam issues or if it's just affecting my MAC with just this one site.

FWIW I am not seeing this on any of the four devices that I use to access SI. It is possible that you've got some malware that is targeting SI or possibly it is targeting your most visited URLs. I would continue to ignore the download until you can get your computer scanned for malware. (You might need to do this from safe mode for it to be effective)

Have you ran a virus scan? I had an issue with getting pop ups and spam on the sites I visited the most. Ended up having a virus. Thankfully I was able to get rid of it and it took care of the pop ups. For once I was grateful for the money I spent on having a good virus/firewall installed since it was able to track it down and take care of it quickly.

Thanks....I will head to the apple store tomorrow and have them check it out....I also visit Facebook and Tumblr much more often than SI and it's not happening on those sites, but you never know.....

We don't have pop ups or advertisements outside of the Google Ads that are here on the site and those you have to click on.

DS suggested you run a virus check.

Thanks for checking...I will visit the MAC store to see if they can find it and fix it...will be back on when it's fixed.
