Packing up to leave for camping with former church family today. We have been a foster family, so the last two years we took 8 family members camping. This year it's just me and DS15 and DD11. Feeling a little melancholy about that. Don't get me wrong, waaaay easier to pack only three, but, strange. Last year both long term foster daughters went to adoptive families two weeks before I discovered STBXs EA and kicked him out. It has been a grieving year.

DDs 17 and 19 are working, so can't come camping. I will be with many friends, so that's going to be a blessing. And the weather should be nice. Hoping for a good couple days.

On Sunday, DD17, DS15, DD11 and I leave for Jr Hi Church camp. This should be a fun and exhausting time. My two older kids and I are counselors and it's my youngest's first week at church camp. At least being out of town will keep me NC with STBX (see previous post). We had planned last year to go to JR HI camp as a whole family. So feeling a bit sad about that as well.

I hope you have fun and the end result is you've reclaimed camp for your new family.

Hugs,

Yes, after my WW betryed me a few times, just about nothing seemed like fun. I had to put on my "game face" about 90% of my awake hours..it sucks big time and I'm always finding myself angry because my WW often wants me to just get over it and I cannot. I want the sweet and simple married life I had before, I'm tired of thinking what she is thinking or wondering who she is texting with and being with when I am not around at work or whatever. God can change things I its true that these events can make us cling to Him and make for us more refined and useful vessels for service. That is the ONLY positive I can find in being betrayed. It has helped me have more sympathy and empathy for the hurting, which is something born of the spirit.

God bless you, Step.
