My phone tells me each time I go to log in that I must have cookies.

There is only one response, and that is to “x out”.

But I’m guessing that doesn’t do it.

Help please. I just don’t know how to “accept cookies”

It sounds like you have your phone/ phone's browser set to not accept cookies. That option is Usually under security or privacy in either phone or browser settings.

when you visit SI it checks to see whether you have cookies enabled. It sees that you do not, so it pops a box to tell You that you "need" them.

In SI's case the most useful thing that cookies do is keep you logged in for something like two weeks.

Oh, thanks so much. It doesn’t always happen...not even sure why it let me on this time.

I’ll look about my settings.

Apparently my assumption was incorrect. I opened SI On my phone. I got the cookie message. I ignored it,didn't close it, gave my user/ pass and got right in.

Maybe try ignoring it?

The irritating thing about the cookie message is that I'll be halfway through putting in my username, and it will pop up and blank the name out, so I have to start again. For the last several weeks, this has happened every time I attempt to log on. (It doesn't interrupt me on the second pass.)

Heh. It appears at the bottom of the phone screen. I just ignore it and log in with closing it.

Sorry for the frustration! I have updated the cookie message so that you may now scroll to the bottom of it and click the accept button. Please try this again and let me know if it is still a problem.
