I don't think my friends would be real comfortable if I wanted to take them to a hotel room, though.

I would go high end for an anniversary - definitely about you and your husband.
I am also in the camp that I don't want to claim back places WH was with his APs - besides in his car in a car park might be ok when you are teenagers but when you are older a car park is just smutty. I am more classy than that!
I guess it might be different if WH had taken them to places that were already "ours".
