My kids watched me go away for inpatient therapy on 2 separate occasions as I could not cope with my situation.
OMG! That must have been so hard for them and you. I'm so sorry that happened.
Thanks Sad, I know you're right. We do have a great relationship. They know they can come to me and talk to me about anything they are feeling.
Thank you blindsighted. Yes, she was quickly approaching two. There were many days when I cried (literally) on her shoulder because I knew she wouldn't understand me. Even at her age she could wrap her little arms around my neck and give me the best hugs.
You are such an asset here (thank you for your kind words always, and also for sharing your story).
This means a lot to me, thank you. I hope I'm of some help to the other members here.
I also wanted to add that I am a firm believer that divorce doesn't make a home broken. That just because the marriage is still in take doesn't mean that the home isn't broken. I also know that some families function better after a divorce because the stress of the couple being together is no longer there and they can focus on raising the children properly. That's my hope and goal, to one day be divorced (sooner rather than later would be nice) and that we can co-parent and raise our children properly.

Getting my ducks in a row for divorce... finally (4+ D-Days too many - listed in profile.)
