Did your airbags deploy? That can significantly up the repair cost. I do not know why but have been told that by a couple of reputable repair places.

Late chiming in... I have scoliosis and wore a back brace for three years. (This was 30 years ago, though. I'm sure treatments have evolved.) It never slowed me down or stopped me from doing anything.
You've sure had your share of stuff this past week! Sending you and yours big hugs.

tushnurse, we will be vigilant and work on her health as a whole. We've been making improvements gradually. Within the next couple months, we'll make any Earth lovin' crunchy person proud.
Pentup, airbags did not deploy. Frame's not bent. So I dunno why the cost is so high.
I think QS is going to let it go. (As in, not repair it, but still buy it back and part it out) We can turn a profit over the buy back price very easily and can apply those funds to other areas in our life.
So as much as I really don't want to, it looks like we may be car shopping in the very near future. *sigh*
wildbananas, thanks for the hugs. It's been nuts around here for sure. Starting to wonder if life really does ever get normal and boring.
