I had some duller pains after the stone passed. The stabbing pain is your body trying to work out the stone. Thing of the dull pain as the ache that results from the trauma your body experienced.
I'm sorry you're in so much pain. Be thankful we go through this now with pain pills. Imagine life back in the day with nothing!

I can't imagine what life was like before pain pills!
I play Oregon Trail sometimes (when I miss being a kid) and I know for sure that had I been a pioneer, I would have died of cholera.
I would have died from bear attacks. I would have died from dysentry.
I think I'm trying to say that I'm a big, fat, wuss and would not survive without my modern technology and modern medicine!
