Maybe someday I'll find someone like that.......
It's good to hear there still are guys out there that believe in doing small meaningful things for us.

IL -- thank you for sharing. I find reading about your relationship so uplifting and helpful. I really appreciate it when you share both the good stuff and the bad stuff. Especially the good
I completely understand what you're saying. The last years of my M were filled with lousy treatment from X. I appreciate it so much when TG does the little things.

Aww that's so sweet! Sounds like you have a keeper. :)
Hearing stuff like that makes me hopeful for the future. It also makes me a little sad that I wasted a decade on a man that didn't do any sweet gestures like that at his best.

It is sad that many of us thought is was normal to be ignored or dismissed or in some cases even worse.
I do believe there are good, kind, decent men in the world. Imperfect, but capable of treating us thoughtfully.
We are opening up a small joint savings account tomorrow to save up for a vacation next year. We've never had much money to go any where too far, or to stay more than 2 nights indoors, we usually camp. It's hopeful!

He's listening, he's speaking your love language. He sounds like a keeper
^^^^ My thoughts exactly! Isn't it amazing how good it feels when a man actually appreciates you? Puts in some (or a lot) of effort? I also wonder why I ever put up with the treatment I got in the past. We all deserve better - and I'm really glad you found it!
